Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon

Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon (KLSCM) 2026 will be on 3 and 4 October 2026. The Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon is an annual running event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The KL Standard Chartered Marathon is Malaysia’s flagship distance running event, drawing tens of thousands to the streets of Kuala Lumpur each year. Held since 1989, and sponsored by Standard Chartered Bank since 2009, the race has evolved into a two-day weekend format to accommodate growing participation—nearly 36,000 runners took part in 2017 alone.

The marathon, half marathon, and shorter races all start and finish at Dataran Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur’s historic colonial square. The 42.2 km route is certified by World Athletics and AIMS, and takes runners past key city landmarks including the Petronas Twin Towers, KL Tower, and National Mosque.
