Overview

Malaysia Vending Machines & New Retail Industry Expo 2024 is an exhibition jointly hosted by (Guangdong Chamber of Commerce of Importers & Exporters) and Automatic Vending Association Malaysia (AVAM) and organized by (Guangdong Huachuang Digital Intelligence Exhibition Co. Ltd, with an exhibition scale of 10,000 square meters and over 5,000 buyers. With the theme of “gathering potential and empowering industries to develop and share the Southeast Asian market together”, and the core of display and transaction, it displays self-service vending machines and new retail products from the perspective of new retail industry, so as to build a trading platform for new retail related products and projects in Southeast Asia, stimulate and promote the innovative development of international new retail markets and industries.

The vending machine market in Southeast Asia is expected to witness significant growth in the coming years due to rapid urbanization in the region and the development of retail channels such as supermarkets, hypermarkets, shopping malls, and convenience stores. The Change of consumers’ lifestyle and the growing working population have led to the growth of ready-to-eat food and beverages in Southeast Asia.

According to the analysis of local industry associations, as of the end of 2023, Vietnam has 10000 vending machines, Indonesia has 30000, and Malaysia has 50000 vending machines.

In Asia, what is driving the use of smart vending machines is the high penetration of mobile payments. Data from US financial services giant Fidelity National Information Services (FIS) shows that 44% of payments in the stores in the Asia-Pacific region are mobile payments!

The rapid economic development, coupled with the growth of retail and tourism in major countries such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore, will also stimulate the demand for the vending machines in Southeast Asia in the next few years.
