S1K is a 4-wheel endurance race of 1,000km, around 172 laps which equates to nine hours of racing and it has already attracted entries from neighbouring countries such as Australia and Japan.

The race is promoted and organised by PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit (PETRONAS SIC), supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia (KBS), and sanctioned by Motorsports Association of Malaysia (MAM). The S1K was born for entries up to two classes of cars – M Production and S Production classes.

Legends like Keifli Othman, Faidzil Alang, Tengku Djan, and Fariqe Hairuman regularly participate in the race. This event is an initiative by PETRONAS SIC, that serves as a platform to unleash young and new talents as well as a platform to advance in their career or to a higher series of championships.
